Accommodation

Cape Town offers a wide range of accommodation, from luxury hotels that meet the highest international standards to more modest and basic hotels to suit all pockets. Tourvest has block booked a number of rooms at various hotels specifically for the delegates attending The International Conference on Accelerator and Large Experimental Physics Control Systems (ICALEPCS 2023) be held in Cape Town, South Africa from 7 to 13 October 2023.

Some of the hotels booked are within walking distance to the Century City Conference Venue and include 5-star, 4-star and 3-star establishments.

All rates are quoted, and must be paid in South African Rand (ZAR). For exchange rate estimation purposes visit http://www.xe.com. All forex charges and bank fees are for the payee’s account.

All accommodation rates quoted are per room per night, including bed and breakfast. These rates include VAT at 15%, and the Government Tourism levy of 1%. All extras are for the delegate's own account and to be paid directly to the hotel. 

All accommodation is booked on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability. 

The FULL PAYMENT of the accommodation booking is due and payable by Friday, 1 September 2023. Should the full payment in respect of the accommodation not be received by "The Release Date" and no written cancellation be received, the booking will be cancelled and released. 

Standard check in time is at 15h00 and check out time at 10h00.

Most hotels offer complimentary Wi-Fi however this is usually a capped connection per day.

Cape Point Full Day Tour

Cape Town is built on a mountainous peninsula. This full-day tour is an ideal way to see the highlights of the city. Travel along the Atlantic seaboard with its white beaches and rugged mountains to Hout Bay. If time permits, there is the option of taking a half-hour boat trip to Duiker Island to see a Cape Fur Seal colony (for your own account). If open, continue on Chapman’s Peak Drive, noted as one of the most stunning roadways in the world. Visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve and the tip of the Cape Peninsula which has captivated travelers for centuries. The return journey to Cape Town takes guests along the False Bay coast with the option of visiting the colony of rare African Penguins at Boulders Beach (for your own account). Hermanus Full Day Tour

Travel via Sir Lowry’s Pass to Hermanus and enjoy shore-based whale-watching (seasonally dependent). Visit a wine estate for a wine tasting, or visit the Stoney Point Penguin Colony should the wine estate be closed. Return to Cape Town in the afternoon via the scenic False Bay coastal route.

Winelands Full Day Tour

The world-renowned Cape Winelands is situated about an hour’s drive from Cape Town. This tour travels through the premier wine-producing regions of Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch. Airport Transfers

Our airport shuttle services are simply the easiest, most cost-efficient, and most comfortable way to transfer from Cape Town International Airport to the Congress hotels.

Upon arrival at the airport, you will collect your bags from the baggage carousel (if arriving from an international flight you will clear Customs & Immigration before collecting your bags), and then proceed to the Arrivals Hall.  As you exit the Hall you will be met and assisted by a professionally-presented driver who will have signage bearing your name. The driver will then accompany you to the vehicle for transfer to your hotel.

Please Note: If the full accommodation booking payment has not been made before September 1 September 2023, or proof of payment is not provided, the booking will be released.

All fees are payable in South African Rands (ZAR) by, either, Bank Wire Transfer (Electronic Funds Transfer - EFT) or Credit Cards (Visa and Master card) are accepted for online credit card payments.

Cheque payments are NOT accepted.

The amount stated below is reflected in South Africa Rand (ZAR) and is the total amount payable.
